They only show concerts during pledge breaks. Sometimes they even interrupt songs. To purchase a copy of a concert from them costs at least $100 which includes the price of becoming a member. Why should anyone pay that much when they can buy the DVD for about $30 in a store? Every concert they show has been or will be released on VHS and/or DVD. If you want to become a member, fine. They have to have been performed by real people in the real world. No special effects or CGI. Mine is the scene in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" in which "Indy" goes under the truck and pulls himself along the road with his whip. Coolest thing I've ever seen.
In the movie "Clueless", Cher (Alicia Silverstone) says, "Even if they took out all the violent shows, people could still see the news." I agree. The violence in TV shows and movies is phony. Phony weapons, phony blood, phony dead bodies. The violence on the news is real. Real weapons, real blood, real dead bodies. Which is more disturbing?
