It ain't a pussycat

A 17 year-old girl was posing for her high school graduation pictures with a Siberian tiger when the animal turned and attacked her. The handler was restraining it. She was pronounded dead at the scene. Officials are investigating the cause.

The cause? Well, let's see. Could it be............stupidity?

It was a family-run animal sancutary. Not even an actual zoo.

IT'S A FRICKIN' WILD ANIMAL, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE! A PREDATOR! A MEAT EATER! THEY CAN NOT BE TAMED!

It's really a shame that some people have to learn the hard way.

Eh...I'm inclined to blame the trainer. He should know the temperment of the animal before trying stupid crap.

I don't know. They're unpredictable. At least the tiger should have been in a cage and the girl should have been outside the cage.

No not for this one..
For all we know the poor girl was probably assured by the trainer and others that this was done all the time... blah blah blah

If the trainer had been giving "Tiger Rides" then yes Darwin Application needed

Well, we HAVE to blame SOMEONE, right?

Here's our choices:

a) dead girl
tiger trainer
c) owner of animal sanctuary
d) tiger
e) society that encourages people to interact with wild animals and put wild animals in unnatural settings and situations
f) photographer
g) dead girl's parents
h) god
i) the devil
j) legislators that haven't prevented these tragedies from occuring
k) law enforcement officers who didn't preven this from happening
l) medical professionals for failing to be on site where something so dangerous was taking place
m) the education system for not teaching any parties involved that this was not a good idea
n) dead girl's parents
o) President Bush

Bush then Owner of the santuary

hahaha...I accidentally put dead girl's parents twice. It must be an omen. I guess THEY'RE to blame.

Bush works too, though.

What? Wild... animal? They don't really make those, do they? I know from the zoological materials we provide for our kids that only the bad ones are, and the good ones always triumph.

You should study it more. In Bambi you'll learn that the wilderness is paradise if not for hunters. The Lion King, hey, right there, see where it just destroys the wild animal myth? Fish are the witty foils of nasty French Chefs. Polar bears like to sled and drink Coke and stare happily at Christmas trees.

Animals are for feeling sorry for, or for witty line-tossing sidekicks, or to leap in at the end to bite the bad guy, or better yet, to pee on him. I don't know where this "Wild Animal" myth comes from. This must've been a bad tiger that the hero tiger and his squirrel sidekick hadn't dealt with yet.
