The comedian who revolutionized stand-up comedy died of a heroin overdose at the age of 39.

once when lenny was "busted" in nyc not an unusual occurence btw, he was caught with "works" when asked what this was for he said, "i get headaches and take asprin, cannot stand the taste of asprin"

He broke customs and explored borders in his monologes, that are still the gold standard for "rough comedy"

I liked it when he circumvented the court ruling by asking people in the audience, "Did you you know last night?"
