Promoting skepticism and reason without boundaries or sacred cows.
I think the best one is Green Acres. I also like Mr. Ed, Peter Gunn, The Brady Bunch, All in the Family, Cheers, Hawaii Five-O, Bonanza and Dick Van Dyke. By the way: If you know the lyrics to any of them that only had music on the show, post them.
Here are the lyrics for The Dick Van Dyke Show.

So you think that you got trouble, well trouble's a bubble
So tell old mister trouble to get lost.
Why not hold your head up high and stop crying,
Start trying and don't forget to keep your fingers crossed.
When you find the joy of living is loving and giving,
You'll be there when the winning dice are tossed.
A smile is just a frown that's turned upside down,
So smile and that frown'll get lost.
And don't forget to keep your fingers crossed.

One of my all-time faves is Bonanaz. Also Cheers brings back memories of working days and Friday nights out after getting paid..
Mash theme brings tears as my daughter was a baby then and hearing the theme starts the memories flowing.
The theme from taxi of course really fits my family as we were in the taxi business in the 80's. Btw, if you type Bonanza into Goggle, there's a whole site to the show, with pics, music, ect. Trudygolightly
Bonanza Lyrics and Theme!

Bonanza
We chased lady luck, 'til we finally
struck Bonanza
With a gun and a rope and a hat full of hope,
we planted our family tree.
We got hold of a pot full of gold,
Bonanza

With a horse and a saddle, and a range full of cattle, How rich can a fellow be?
On this land we put our brand, Cartwright is the name, Fortune smiled, the day we filed the Ponderosa claim.

Here in the west, we're livin' in the best
Bonanza
If anyone fights any one of us,
he's got a fight with me
Bonanza

Hoss and Joe and Adam know
every rock and pine
No one works fights, or eats,
like those boys of mine
Here we stand in the middle of a grand
Bonanza

With a gun and a rope and a hatful of hope,
we planted our family tree,
We got a hold of a potful of gold
Bonanza

With a houseful of friends where the rainbow ends,
How rich can a fellow be?
On this land we put our brand Cartwright is the name,
Fortune smiled, the day we filed the Ponderosa claim
Here in the west we're living in the best
Bonanza

With the friendliest, fightingist, lovingist band,
That ever set foot in the promised land
And we're happier than them all.
That's why we call it
Bonanza...bonanza.. bonanza..

Trudy: I thought these were the lyrics to the Bonanza theme:

We got a right to pick a little fight ... Bonanza!
If anyone fights anyone of us, he's gotta fight with me!

We're not a one to saddle up and run ... Bonanza!
Anyone of us who starts a little fuss, knows he can count on me!

One for four
Four for one,
This we guarantee.

We got a right to pick a little fight ... Bonanza!
If anyone fights anyone of us, he's gotta fight with me!
Oh yeah, and Suicide is Painless (from MASH)

I like that one too.
