And Other Things

I watch Bill O'Reilly kind of frequently and sometimes I even agree with him, but Nancy Grace and Glenn Beck are obnoxious, abrasive, self-righteous, and (at least in Beck's case) paranoid and condescending assholes.

What makes me happy about this is that the obnoxious jerks are Conservatives.

Some Conservatives are upset about "Happy Feet." (Glenn Beck seems to be leading the pack on this.) Kids don't care about politics. Let them enjoy the movie, for Christ's sake. But no, some jerks have to try to ruin it for them.

I thought about writing article about that, but I haven't seen it. I have a good title in mind, though: "Penguins Prompt Political Paranoia."

And here all these years I thought paranoia was the exclusive domain of drug-crazed hippies.

THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING!

Shouldn't religious people believe that everything is going to work out the way it's supposed to?

Upset about "Happy Feet"? Why? Do dancing penguins haunt their dreams?

Oh my God...I just looked some of that up...wow. A kid's movie as political propaganda? Maybe it deals with some of the issues...but come on...it's about freakin' dancing penguins. Penguins that talk and dance...you know, make believe stuff. What the hell do you have to smoke to think that "Happy Feet" is a political film in any way?

*sigh*

I've seen blatant propaganda in cartoons...it's hilarious, especially with WWII cartoons. Ever see, "The Three Little Pigs" where the Big Bad Wolf is Hitler?...Trust me, it brings a tear to your eye.

Yeah, I've seen that. The early Superman cartoons were WWII propaganda.

I don't know, but I'm glad I've never smoked any of it.

As my friend said to me in a conversation last night "conservatives have a way of blaming liberals for everything even when conservatives are in government."

Judging by the ratings... Nope. On the other hand, judging by the ratings of Air America, it seems that even predominantly liberal markets had enough of obnoxious talk show hosts. ;~D

I dont agree with Glenn on Hapy Feet, but I like him.  Because he is irrreverant and funny.  He is not solely a political talk show host.  He lampoons lots of things.

In other words, Liberals don't want obnoxious people, but Conservatives do?
