The outspoken leader of The Pretenders is 55 today.

I love The Pretenders. "Packed" sucked, but each album since then has been great. I didn't think they could top "Get Close", but they did. I didn't think they could recover from the loss of Robbie McIntosh and Blair Cunningham, but they did, and original drummer Martin Chambers rejoined in 1993.
