Your link doesn't work, but you did show the URL so I checked it out anyway.

There is still no lie here. There was a set of Emergency Protocols in place for New Orleans and the state of Louisiana, both were prepared to do their part of the job. FEMA was also prepared to do it's part of the job. The problem was, the city and state officials didn't follow their own protocols. When FEMA came in, they were prepared for a disaster, but not to do the city and states job for them.

True, FEMA should have seen that happening and adapted to the reality of the situation. I don't for a second absolve FEMA for not doing so, since it wouldn't have required that much more than what is there job. However, they shouldn't have to.

The second that idiot Nagin decided not to follow "The New Orleans Comprehensive Emergency Plan", he started a chain reaction of failure. A chain that was only made worse when that moron Blanco made the equally disastrous decision to do the same with the state Emergency Management Protocols.

Any accusations that don't put Nagin and Blanco at the very center of what went wrong ARE just lies. Anyone who thinks that the President is the beginning and the end of an Emergency Response Plan is just plain ignorant.

I agree with Ted.  It does not show that Bush Lied.  It shows what has already been stated before.  There was a meltdown, and it started locally.  FEMA did not march in like Sherman, but then FEMA is not supposed to.  They are there after the fact to help with the clean up.  Note the operative word there.  Help.

YES there is a lie. Bush said two days after the storm as well as two days ago that NO ONE COULD HAVE ANTICIPATED THE IMPACT OF Katrina. Bush and Chertoff were told of the possible impact on August 28th in that briefing. It is no less a lie then I did not have sex with that women.

That's what I thought the report is saying. It's what Bush said after the briefing that's the lie.

Bush lied and lied. He said no one could know about the levies breeching. He does nothing but lie on a regular basis. But will anyone EVER do anything about it?

The fact that the idiots in the press are still trying to dig up dirt on Prs. Bush, but totally giving Nagin and Blanco a pass shows that they are complete morons and unwilling to even look at the situation with any semblance of reality.

If your neighborhood was on fire, and the local fire chief was on the news asking why Prs. Bush isn't doing anything about it, would you be blaming Bush or would you be wondering why the fire department didn't fight the fire? That's EXACTLY what happened here, yet NO ONE in the press seems to care.

Automatons roaming around saying "Must Get Bush".... "Must Get Bush"....

It's just stupidity.

stupidity that is expected....and predictable....

The left is really making a mockery of themselves....

The strategy of the left seems to be this: if they can tarnish Bush enough, pile on enough dubious allegations & trumpet enough invented "facts", twist the truth as many times in as many ways as possible, maybe it will tarnish all Republicans and translate into gains in the mid-term elections. Since they have nothing positive to offer, simply lambasting those in control is the only weapon they have. And picking apart the actions of people who do things by people who observe things is a very old game.
